Red Lake Privacy Notice

Information You Submit

Search terms

A name, place, or other term entered into a search box is sent to the outside provider that operates the tool. We do not keep a separate log of those terms on this site. The provider’s own privacy rules govern its handling of the query.

Messages

If you email or send a contact message, we retain what is needed to read and answer it. We do not share that message beyond the organization unless disclosure is required by law.

Automatic Technical Details

Routine server and analytics records may collect information when a page loads. That can include:

  • the internet protocol address used for the visit;
  • browser name and version;
  • device type and operating system;
  • pages viewed and time spent;
  • the referring page, when available; and
  • timestamps tied to the request.

Cookies

Cookies help measure site use and support some features. Most browsers let a user block or remove them. A blocked cookie may change how a feature works.

How Information Is Used

Collected data support a limited set of operational tasks.

  • keep the pages stable and responsive;
  • send a search request to the selected provider;
  • measure which content is useful;
  • find and correct technical faults; and
  • display advertising that may reflect interests.

Links Beyond This Site

Links may lead to NWRCC, the Red Lake County Sheriff, Minnesota courts, MNDOC, federal locators, other government records, or outside search tools. Once a visitor leaves, the destination’s privacy policy applies. Some ad partners may measure activity across websites through their own systems. We do not control those systems.

When Data May Be Shared

We do not sell personal information. Limited data may be handled by search partners that process queries, analytics vendors, advertising networks, and law enforcement or another government body acting under a valid legal order.

Security Limits

We use common safeguards appropriate to an online reference site. No internet-connected system is immune from every failure or attack, so we cannot promise breach-proof storage or transmission.

Visitors Under Eighteen

The site is intended for adults and does not knowingly seek personal information from anyone under 18. A parent or guardian may use the Contacts page to request removal if a minor submitted information.

Your Privacy Choices

Subject to applicable law and the data actually held, a person may ask for a copy of personal data, seek correction, request deletion, or object to some processing. These choices concern this private site. Challenges to an inaccurate Minnesota government record follow the agency process, including Minnesota Statutes section 13.04, subdivision 4.

Changes to This Notice

This privacy notice may be revised as services or practices change. A new version becomes effective when posted here with its updated effective date.
